Died. Mr. J. H. Allen, the post master at Temple, a gentleman well known throughout the county, died at his home at Temple on last Friday night. He was buried on Sunday at Concord church, in the 6th dist., with Masonic honors some 75 or 100 "brethren" from the lodges at Temple, Carrollton, Villa Rica, and Draketown uniting in these last sad rites to the deceased. Mr. Allen was a gentleman, who had many friends in the county who will hear with sadness of his death in the prime of life. (Carroll Free Press) |
