The many friends and acquaintances of Mr. Michael Austin, an old and esteemed citizen of this county who lived near Nebo, P.O., were shocked to learn that he dropped suddenly dead on his plantation last Wednesday morning.  He was in apparently good health, at a hearty breakfast and was engaged in putting out a log heap which was on fire, by throwing water on it, to prevent the fire from doing damage, when he dropped down dead.  He was about seventy years of age and a useful citizen, and much esteemed by all his acquaintances.  He was buried at Nebo church cemetery, with Masonic honors, on Thursday.
