Mrs. Tommie C. Landmon Benson Passes

Mrs. Tommie C. Landmon Benson, age 81, of Mableton, Georgia, passed away April 15, 2005 at WellStar Cobb Hospital.

Mrs. Benson was born December 12, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of Sharon and Izora (Land) Landmon. She was a Mother and Homemaker and a longtime member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church in Austell.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Caron Benson Harris of Newnan, GA; sons, Dr. Dan J. Benson of Stone Mountain, GA and Mr. and Mrs. Craig (Peggy) Benson of Destin, Florida; sister, Mrs. Annie Ruth Williams of Dallas; granddaughter, Ms. Lea C. Benson of Phoenix, Arizona and Mrs. Karen Davison, of Destin, Florida; great-grandchildren, Logan Davison, Shelby Davison and Tiana Davison, all of Destin, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. J. Clarence Benson, having been married on May 12, 1944; he passed away December 13, 1987; son-in-law, Mr. William Curtis Harris, Jr., and two sisters, Mrs. Jean Rogers and Mrs. Mildred Bowman.

Funeral Services were conducted on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Bowman officiating. A Eulogy was given by granddaughter, Miss Lea C. Benson. Special music was rendered by Mr. Tony Harris.

Interment followed in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery in Dallas.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
