Died. Mr. Jacob O. Durham, well known to many of our readers died at Marietta last Sunday morning, and was buried at New Hope church the following day. On the 19th of October Mr. Durham and others were crossing the railroad at a regular crossing. A dead car was standing on the track, and as Mr. D. reached the track a switching train suddenly struck the car with great force and it struck him, knocking him down and dragging him on the track some distance - inflicting injuries from which he died, after a great deal of suffering.
