Died. Wm. F. Hagin. William Franklin Hagin was born December 22nd A. D., 1851, and departed this life September 24, 1890. Billy, (as he was familiarly called) was born and reared in Paulding county, GA. He was a dutiful man and a of kind disposition and like by all with whom he associated.
At the age of Twenty-one years he was married to Miss Ellen Dave(?), of Polk county, with her lived happily until his death. Of this union were born seven children. Five sons and two daughters, of which all are living except Fanny. She crossed over the river one year before her father.
Billy was a consistent member of the Baptist church. He lived a peaceful life, and set many good examples for his children and friends to imitate. For the last several months of his life he was unwell, but not confined to his bed but a short time. He bore all his afflictions with Christian forebearance and at last was perfectly submissive to Lord's will. Fully realizing that he was soon to pass the dark valley. He said, Pa! I am going to a better world than this.
Billy left many friends to mourn his loss. We should be like Job when in all his affliction he said the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Nature says we must soon follow and we know of a truth that we must all die. Blessed are they that die in the Lord. Our Loss is his eternal gain. S.D.D.
