Died. At Rest. Dallas, Ga. Oct the 25th , 1889. Whereas in the dispensation of providence, it has pleased the Great Architect of the universe to remove from our midst our beloved brother S.W. Howard who sudden death has cast a gloom over family and friends, and left an aching void that cannot be filled; therefore be it resolved that in his death that Dallas Lodge No. 182 F. and A.M. of which he was a most exemplary member has lost one of it's brightest jewels, the state a patriotic citizen, the community a cherished model, his family a kind and loving companion and guardian. That while we point with pride and pleasure to his character as a mason, we take greater consolation in contemplating a character absolutely void of odence(?). We hold it up as being in many respect, well worthy of imitation by the fraternity he honored and adored…
