Mrs. Christie McLendon Passes April 14 Mrs. Christie McLendon, age 82, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away April 14, 2005 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Mrs. McLendon was born February 17, 1923 in Paulding County, Georgia, daughter of the late Emory Homer Cochran and the late Margaret Leo Turner Cochran. She worked as a Head Teller for Peoples Bank and was a member of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Warren McLendon of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Emory Gordy, Jr. and Patty Loveless of Dallas; 3 sisters, Janet (Pearle) Tripcony, Mazelle (Sissy) Morgan and Louise (Bootsy) Black, all of Dallas; 2 grandchildren, Libby and Katie and their mother, Lisa; great-grandchildren, Kecia, Timmy, Tony, Crystle, Suzanne and Sam; great-great-grandchildren, Beth, Natalie, Christian and Cameron; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Emory and Margaret Cochran, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Emory L. Gordy, Sr. A Memorial Service was held Sunday, April 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Fennell officiating. Cremains interred at Dallas Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home.
