Died, on J.T. Henderson's farm, on Sweetwater creek, this county, an old negro, Dan Roberts. He lived on the farm for thirty years, and was freed on it. He was a member of the Baptist church for thirty years, and was deacon of his church at his death. He died in the faith, and was buried at his church Mt. Vernon, July 9th, 1886.
