John Weaver, who was recently sentenced to the penitentiary for five years in Meriwether county for an assault with attempt to murder, passed through town yesterday, in charge of W. Turper, who will deliver him to the manager of the convict camp at Cedartown. (The Daily Constitution, Atlanta, GA, October 24, 1880)
