Smith-Lemon.
A beautiful wedding was that last Thursday of Miss Brewster Smith and Mr. Edward Wayne Lemon, which was celebrated at 6 o'clock at the home of the bride's brother, Mr. Londz H. Smith, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends.
The bride's sister, Mrs. John S. Collins, was the matron of honor, and her little nephew, Telford Smith, the ring-bearer. The ceremony was performed by Rev. T. M. Stribling.
Following the ceremony an enjoyable reception was given, at which the hostess was assisted by Mesdames S. H. Smith, A. C. Cobb and G. M. Norman. Elegant refreshments were served, with Misses Flora Burbank, Susie and Ophelia Brumby presiding in the dining room. Little Misses Sara Bigham and Mildred Cobb pinned the favors on the guests. The rooms were beautifully decorated for the occasion.
Mr. and Mrs. Lemon left on the 6:40 Seaboard train for a trip to Tampa and other parts Florida points.
The bride is one of our attractive young ladies, and the groom is the successful manager of the Southern Cotton Oil Co.'s extensive interests here. Their many friends extend hearty congratulations and good wishes. The out of town guests were Mr. Jas. And Miss Louise McMillan and Walter Nichols, of Acworth; Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Lemon, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hardy, of Atlanta; Mr. Williams of Cartersville.
