(These are articles that were forwarded to the Atlanta paper by a writer for the Cedartown paper.)

Cedartown, March 1 (Special) A heavy wind and rain storm accompanied by loud thunder and vivid lightning, passed over this section on yesterday. Ed Greene, colored a convict form Atlanta, was severely shocked by lightning during the storm yesterday, and has so far recovered as to be able to talk. Several other person were slightly shocked.

  ---Haralson, March 1 (Special) We have had a great deal of thunder and rain lately which has done much damage.

  ---Uncle Mike Garrison is dead. Mrs. Hodnott is better. (The Atlanta Constitution, Atlanta, GA, March 3, 1882)

  Cedartown, March 17, (Special)
  --Seals Harris, a young son of Dr. C.H. Harris was thrown from a horse near the depot yesterday afternoon by which his right thigh was broken.

  ---The pig iron furnace will be in running order in two or three days. (The Atlanta Constitution, Atlanta, Ga, March 19, 1882)
