Sidney Griffin Garrett, I
I have been doing research about by grandmother, Fannie Garrett Moss's grandfather, Sidney Griffin Garrett I (1831 Henry County) and his wife, Harriett E Camp (1824 Gwinnette County). They lived in Polk County from 1870 until their death. The last record for Harriett is 1900 Census living with their son, Elias Harrison Garrett. I have all the records for Sidney Griffin Garrett II buried at Sardis Methodist Church Cemetary and Sidney Griffin Garrett III buried at Bellview Baptist Church Cemetary. Prior to 1870 they were in Paulding County (1840-1860). I understand that the Garretts ran many types of mills at Fish Creek. I have looked through the Heritage of Polk County Georgia (1851-2000) and found very few mentions of the Garretts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would be glad to come to the area but my last trip to Lumpkin County was a dead end. Submitted by   05-08-2008
