William Gurley
I am looking for any information about William Gurley. He was born in NC around 1788-1790. In the 1840 census he lived in Carroll Co. GA with a Susan Gurley and several children. He later moved to Polk Co. GA where he died of Gravell(?) about 1859 or 1860. I believe he is my g-g-grandfather. I am also looking for any information on Jonathan Gurley who lived in the Yellowstone and Van Wert militia districts in Polk Co. between 1860 – 1870. He was a Corporal in the GA Calvary CSA out of Cedartown. He was taken prisoner in Van Wert while home on leave. He moved to Dallas GA sometime before 1880. Thanks,
