108 CHS Seniors Get Diplomas Monday Night One hundred and eight members of the 1948 graduating class of the Cedartown High School received their diplomas at exercises held in the high scool auditorium Monday evening, May 24.
Following the invocation by the Rev. E. P. Nichols, the Glee Club Ensemble sang "America, the Beautiful." Bobby Morrison, class president, then welcomed the guest present for the ceremonies.
"Faith of Our Fathers"< was the theme for the program presented by the 26 honor graduates. Each honor graduate spoke briefly on subjects relating to the origin of our county.
Following the program presented by the students the diplomas were delivered by M. J. Florence, chairman of the Board of Education. Also delivered were certificates for typing, commercial courses, band anf glee club.
Graduates were entertained at a dance at the Legion Club following graduation. Jack Kranyik and his orchestra, of Rome, furnished the music.
