FISH SCALES

The Sunday School here re-organized last Sunday for the present year by electing Bros. White and Jackson as superintendents. Miss Bessie Hammonds was re-elected secretary. Col. R. W. Everett was elected teacher of the advaced quarterly class. The school meets next Sunday at 10 o'clock a.m.
B. C. Pickens, of Wardner, Idaho, visited friends here last week.
Miss Kate Atwood, of Floyd county is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. F. Lawson.
Mr. Otis Bardette, of Cedar City, was among friends here last week.
The Blissett Mercantile Co. has opened up a nice stock of goods here.
Miss Ora Simpson, of Rockmart, was here part of last week.
The public school, under the supervision of Miss Sophia White, is moving along nicely. Miss White is an experienced teacher and is giving general satisfaction.
The little snow Monday night may be a warning to get more wood.

Mr. Charlie Lee, of Dallas, visited Rockmart relatives last week.
Miss Ella Johnston was the guest Saturday of Mrs. A. B. S. Mosely in Rome. Her hostess gave a delightful reception in her honor that afternoon.
