Mrs. Helen Elder Anderson
Mrs. Helen Elder Anderson, age 85, of Cedartown passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009. She was born in Polk County, Georgia on January 3, 1924, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Weir Elder.
She was a dedicated and beloved member of First Baptist Church of Cedartown.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by children, Elaine Anderson and James Elder Anderson; grandchildren, Jeffery Emerson Brock, Joshua Anderson, Melissa Anderson. Six great-grandchildren also survive.
She is preceded in death by husband, Emerson Joseph Jasper Anderson; parents, Ernest Weir Elder and Ada Cline Elder.
The graveside service for Mrs. Helen Elder Anderson will be conducted on Thursday, April 2nd , at 4:00 p.m. at Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home. The music for the visitation and service will be provided by Mr. John Sewell.
In case of inclement weather, the service will be in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Tommy Earnest, Ryan Earnest, Jerry Green, Doug Jensen, Ernie McMillian, Doug Elliott.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Helen Elder Anderson.
