Mrs. Arp
Mrs. Helen Avirett Arp, 67, of 148 Cason Road, Cedartown, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, following an extended illness. She was born on Nov. 8, 1938 in Polk County and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer P. and Katie Miller Avirett; brothers, Murray Avirett and Wallace Avirett. She is survived by her son, Eddie Garrett; her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ricky Hunter; brothers, Abner Avirett and Malcom Avirett; her grandchildren and a host of other relatives also survive. Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, March 1 at 1 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. R. B. Hulsey officiating. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
