Johnny Arrington
Johnny Arrington, 78, of Rome
passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997 at Floyd Medical Center.
Mr. Arrington was born Dec. 10, 1918 in Cherokee County, Ala. He was a
self-employed carpenter and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are: wife,
Lucille G. Arrington of Rome; three daughters,
Sandra Towe of Rome, Teresa Evans of Cedartown and Lucinda Arrington
Balderas of Kennesaw; three sons Larry Arrington and Mark Arrington,
both of Rome, and John Arrington of Cedartown;
three sisters, Katie Haralson and Jewell Tuck, both of Cedartown, and Edna Dempsey of Taylorsville; brother, Homer Arrington of Cedartown; 18
grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m., from the West Oak
Chapel Funeral Home of Rome, with Rev. J. R. Sharp officiating.
Interment followed in Arrington's Chapel Cemetery,
Piedmont, Ala. Pallbearers were: Ricky LeCroy, Josh Huie, Darron Stowe,
Tori Stowe, Trevor Evans, Rodney Towe, Gary Towe, Jr. and John
Arrington, Jr.. The West Oak Chapel Funeral Home had
charge of the arrangements. This local announcement was made for the
family by the Gammage Funeral Home.
