Mr. Wallace Atkins
Mr. Wallace Atkins, age 59, of Rt.3 Cedartown, passed away suddenly Monday (July 11, 1983) afternoon. He was born Nov. 6, 1923 in Polk Co. and a member of The Interdenominational Church of Cedar Lake. He was retired from Cedartown Paper Board Company. Survivors include his wife, Gertha Jones Atkins; one daughter, Mrs. Ramona Irish; one brother, W. J. Atkins; sisters, Mrs. Mae Williams, Miss Charlene Atkins, Mrs. Clara Lankford, all of Cedartown.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday from the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with the Rev. Roscoe Hayes officiating. Interment followed in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ted Atkins, Carey Atkins, Cliff Williams, Hamby Moore, Everett Ledbetter, George Puckett. The Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown was in charge of the arrangements.
