MRS. LORENA T. AYERS
Mrs. Lorena T. Ayers, age 81, of 225 Philpot Street, passed away Monday morning after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Ayers was born December 12, 1905 in Polk County, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Edna Hackney Timms. She had lived most of her life in Cedartown and was a retired employee of Cedartown Yarn Mills. She was a member of the Pine Bower Baptist Church. Survivors include one brother and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Norsthview Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Kines officiating. Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home of Rockmart was in charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown Standard June 18, 1987)
