Mrs. Baines dies Sunday
Mrs. Annie Lee Baines, 84, of Rockmart, Route 1, passed away Sunday,
January
3, (1971) in the local hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, January 4, at three o'clock
at
the
Prospect Baptist Church. The Rev. Bud Davis and the Rev. Homer Pinkard
officiated,
and interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Freeman Harris
Funeral
Home in charge.
Serving as pallbearers were Walter, George, Leonard, and Jackie Baines,
Butch
Henderson and James Waits.
Born in Paulding County on March 7, 1886, Mrs. Baines was the daughter of
the
late Harrison and Sally Kiser Lindsey. She was a member of the Prospect
Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Dan Baines, of Rockmart, Rte. 1; two sons, Pat
Jenkins,
of Rockmart, and John W. Baines of Cedartown; four daughters, Mrs.
Leonard
Baines, Mrs. Johnny Davis and Mrs. Aileen Hardin, all of Rockmart, and
Mrs.
Horace McGowan of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Lester and George
Lindsey,
of Cedartown; and one sister, Mrs. Lommie Hatfield, of Rockmart.
Twenty-three grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and four
great-great-grand-
children also survive.
