Rites Held Wed.
for Miss Baines
Funeral services for Miss Roxanne Marie Baines, 15, of
Rockmart, Route 1,
who died in a Rome hospital Monday of injuries received in an accident
Saturday,
were held Wednesday, August 23, (1972) at 3 p.m. at the Second Baptist
Church.
The Rev. Sam Marshall, pastor, officiated, and interment was in Rose Hill
Cemetery with the Freeman Harris Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Miss Baines was born in Polk County on December 15, 1956. She was a
member of the Second Baptist Church and was a student at Rockmart High
School.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Baines, Jr., of
Rockmart,
Route 1; one brother, Randy Baines, and one sister Bonnie Baines, both of
Route 1; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Baines, Sr., and Mr. and
Mrs.
H.W. McBurnette, all of Rockmart.
Pallbearers were Lee Baines, Lynn Grogan, Billy Austin, Bryan Simpkins,
Chan
Cook and Ross Baines.
