Virginia Carroll Baines
Mrs. Virginia Carroll Baines, 57, of 76 Sheepleg Rd., Rockmart, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005. Mrs. Baines was born in Stockbridge on September 30, 1947 a daughter of Marvin Blankenship and Nellie Turner Blankenship. She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church and had been employed as a security guard for TDK in Fayetteville, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Surviving are husband, Charles Ricky Baines of Rockmart to whom she was married on March 23, 1988; step daughters, Ms. Kathy Williams of Cedartown and Ms. Christine Williams of Florida; step sons, Daniel Baines of Rockmart and Billy Williams of Rockmart; brothers, J.D. Blankenship of Stockbridge and David Blankenship of Stockbridge.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005 in the Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Sisson officiating. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. (The Rockmart Journal May 4, 2005)
