Elizabeth Dawson Ballew
Elizabeth Dawson Ballew, 76, of 805 S. Main St., passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2004. She was born May 15, 1927 in Polk County. She was preceded in death by: husband, William Ballew; sons, William Hershel Ballew, William Anthony Ballew and daughter, Janice Ophilia Ballew; and parents, John and Gladys Blankenship Dawson. Survivors include: children, Mary Elizabeth Ingram Grimes, Ronald Euzell Ballew, Marshall Wayne Ballew, Barbara Jean Ballew, Brenda Joyce Ingram, Bonnie Lee Smith, Teresa Ann Ammons, Gladys Marie Ballew; and 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Reginald Campbell and Rev. Jerome Smith officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Charles Ingram, Roger Ingram, Thomas Ammons, Donnie Smith, Harold Ingram, Chad Smith, David Smith and Jonathan Ingram.
