Mr. Gary C. Cagle, age 48, of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, July 19, 1998
in a local hospital. Mr. Cagle was born, August 28, 1949 in Polk County,
and was a retired city firefighter and EMT. He was preceded in death by his
father Herman Carl Cagle. Survivors include his wife Barbara Cagle of
Cedartown; a daughter, Andrea Meliss Goulette; his mother, Fae Atkins Cagle;
three brothers, Jimmy Cagle, Buddy Cagle and Gerald Cagle; and a number of
nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 21, 1998 at 3
p.m. from the chapel of Gammage Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Swift and
the Rev. Steve Fetfenhour officiating. Interment followed in Northview
Cemetery. Pallbearers included Jim Cagle, Jeff Cagle, Glafus Bowling, Tony
Bowling, Tony Brazier and Charles McKellar. Honorary pallbearers included
Andy Johnson, Barry Bullard, Steve Manning, Lee Wilkerson, Carl Thomas,
Michael Payton and Wayne Andrews. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements.
