Ray William Cain, age 84, 202
Piedmont Ave., died Tuesday,
Jan. 14 in a Rome hospital. He
was born September 27, 1907, in
Bartow County. He was a retired
farmer and a member of Calvary
Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, W. W. and Sarah
Holtclaw Cain; son, Raymond
Cain; two brothers, Roy and Raiford
Cain and sister Mattie Cain.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Irene Cain, Rockmart; two sons,
Ralph Cain, Clyde Cain, both of
Rockmart; two daughters, Mrs.
Frances Hayes and Mrs. Ruth
Pannell, both of Rockmart;
14 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held
2:00 P.M. Thursday, Jan. 16 from
the Freeman Harris Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Lawrence
Garrett officiating. Interment
followed in Friendship Cemetery.
The following grandsons served
as pallbearers: Phil Cain, Neal
Cain, Skipper Cole, Raymond
Hayes, Johnny Pannell and Benny
Powell.
Freeman Harris Funeral Home
had charge of the arrangements.
