Mr. Irvin Samuel "Irv" Cauthen, age 71, passed away Sunday, December 7, 1997 in an out of town hospital. He was born January 21, 1926 in Haralson County. He was a retired Fork Lift Operator with General Electric and an Army Veteran. Preceded in death by parents Vassie Viola Batchleor Cauthen and Arthur S. Cauthen. Survivors include: wife, Annie Lee Cauthen of Cedartown, GA.; daughter, Melva Stewart; brother, Gene Cauthen; grandchildren, Lisa Stewart and Chad Stewart. Funeral services for Mr. Cauthen were held Wednesday, December 10, 1997 at 2:00 p.m., at the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Davis and Dr. Larry Davis officiating. The interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. The family received friends Tuesday December 9, 1997 from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown had charge of the arrangements.
