Mrs. Beatrice Chafin, age 81, of Cedartown, died Sunday, January 4, 1998, at her residence. Mrs. Chafin was born January 27, 1916, in Boaz, Ala. She was a retired Practical nurse and a member of Euharlee Baptist Church. Survivors include: her son, Jimmy Chafin, Sr., of Cedartown; daughter, Mrs. Jennie Cole, of Cedartown; sister, Mrs. Wilma Massey, of Rockmart; four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services was held Tuesday, January 6, 1998, at 11 a.m. from Euharlee Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewey Atchley and the Rev. Stevie Waddell officiating. Interment followed in Aragon Cemetery. Deacons of the Euharlee Baptist Church served as pallbearers. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
