Minnie Hazel Chandler, age 89, of 631 Parkwood Lane, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 1996 at her residence. Mrs. Chandler was born November 26, 1906 in Cherokee County, Ala. She was a retired salesperson at Tuck’s Clothing Store and a member of the Second Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Babe Steele. Surviving are: husband, John D. Chandler of Cedartown: daughter, Joan McKelvey of Cedartown: and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, September 6, at 2 p.m., at the Family Life Center, with the Rev. Steve Fetkenhour officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers were: Wendell Jones, David Chandler, Dewey Chandler, John Dean, Phil Cauthen and Terry Steele. The Gammage Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
