Willie Mae Waldrop Chapman,
77, of Rockmart, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 1997.
Mrs. Chapman was born Jan. 27, 1920 in Haralson County. She was a member
of the Youngs Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in
death by: her husbands, Donald Waldrop and Clarence Chapman; parents, Benjamin and Maggie Martin Chupp; and
son, Henry Waldrop. Surviving are: son, Roger Waldrop of Rockmart;
daughter, Patricia Waldrop Dyer of Rockmart;
brother, Colie Chupp of Silver Creek; three sisters, Mary Scroggs and
Vastie Lewis, both of Rockmart, and Marie Weaver of Cedartown; and five
grandchildren. Funeral services were held
Sunday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m., from the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Robert Wright and the Rev. Bobby Woods officiating.
Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving
as pallbearers were: Cliff Williams, Ben Weaver, Curtis Lewis, Keith
Campbell, Otis Chupp, and Larry Chupp. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home
had charge of the arrangements.
