Mrs. Carrie Chivers, of 326 E. Gibson Street passed away at the Polk General
Hospital August 30, 1984, after an extended illness. Funeral services were
held Sunday at 4:30 p.m. from the East View Baptist Church with the Rev.
Hope Smith officiating. Interment followed in the South View Cemetery. Mrs.
Chivers lived in Polk County most of her adult life and was a member of the
East View Baptist Church. Survivors include; two daughters, Ms. Naomi
Chivers and Mrs. Aurella Frazier; two sons, Walter and William Chivers;
grandchildren and other relatives also survived. The Robert L. Parks Funeral
Home was in charge of the arrangements.
