Bunyan D. Davis, age 90, of Cedartown Highway, Rockmart, passed away
Wednesday, March 5, in a Rome hospital. Mr. Davis was born February 17,
1907, in Polk County. He was the retired owner and operator of Davis Grocery
Store, a former Polk County school bus driver, and a member of Bethlehem
Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clora Harris Davis,
and parents, Dorsey and Delia Davis. Surviving are; son, Aubra Davis of
Rome; two grandchildren, Scott Davis and Shelia Ray, both of Rome; and a
great grandson. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m. from
the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Frank Rayburn and Rev.
Royce Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Polk Memory Gardens, Serving
as pallbearers were: Delmer Rayburn, Joe Rayburn, Doug Rayburn, J.C.
Rayburn, Randy Rayburn, and Charles Hopkins. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home
