L. Owens Dill, 74, Rt. #2, Cedartown, passed away
Friday morning in an Atlanta hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Dill
was born May 10, 1894 in Polk County and had lived most of his life here. He
was a retired merchant and a member of the Etna Baptist Church. Survivors
include: his wife, the former, Miss Annie Laura Smith of Cedartown; two
daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Headrick and Mrs. Mary Robbins, both of Rome; two
sons, Cecil Dill of Cedartown and Dewey Dill of Atlanta; 15 grandchildren
and 6 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Sunday from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev.
Alton Brown and the Rev. Pank Adams officiating. Interment followed in the
Etna Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jimmy Roach, Gerald Headrick, Benny Dill,
Cecil Dill, Jr., Julian Green and Harold Womack. Lester C. Litesey Funeral
