Lucy Atkins Dingler, age 69, 313 Fourth Street, Cedartown, died Wednesday,
December 19. Mrs. Dingler was born June 15, 1921 in Polk County. She was a
member of the Union Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband R. E.
Dingler, Cedartown; two sons, Kenneth O. Dingler, South Carolina; Ronnie
Dingler, Cedartown; two daughters, Shirley Brooks, Rome; Sandra Dupree,
Rockmart; two brothers, Claude Atkins, Sr., Berrien, Mich.; Father James F.
Atkins, Germany. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also
survive. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 21, at 2 p.m. in the
chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Grady Kines and the Rev.
Clay Willis officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were John Atkins, Ruben Minter, Ed Dingler, Everett
Barrett, Sam Wright and John Arnold. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home had
