Mrs. Lois Virginia Drummond
Mrs. Lois Virginia Drummond, age 79, of Cedartown passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007. She was born August 31, 1927 in Polk County. Mrs. Drummond was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Drummond; parents, Bessie Brown Lindsey and George Lindsey; sisters, Matt Kines, Elsie Cooper and Shirley Hulsey and brothers, Paul Lindsey, Herman Lindsey and Clyde Lindsey. Surviving are children, Joyce Saunders, Carol Pilgrim, Charles Drummond, & Glenda Evans; daughter-in-law, Lawanna Drummond, son- in-laws, Mike Saunders, Bill Pilgrim, and Jay Evans; grandchildren, Van Saunders, Rob Pilgrim, Christy Barrow, John Evans, Joy Owens and Holly Fullerton and 11 Great Grand Children. Also surviving are sisters, Dot Jones, Becky Adkins and Judy Forrister; brother, Benny Lindsey; sisters-in-laws, Betty Lindsey, Jackie Lindsey, Sally Lindsey and Joan Lindsey; brothers-in-laws, Alton Adkins and Pete Forrister and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 16th at 2:00p.m. at Lake Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Webb, Rev. Ray Hopkins, and Dr. Charles Drummond officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons; Rob Pilgrim, Van Saunders, John Evans, Bryan Owens, David Barrow and Andrew Fullerton. The family respectfully requests that flowers are omitted and any donations may be made to Lake Creek Baptist Church, Heyman Hospice, or the Polk Food Pantry at Antioch. . The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
