Final Rites Set Wednesday For Mrs. T. N. Duke
Mrs. T. N. Duke, widely prominent Cedartown woman, died at her home on Cave Spring Street early Tuesday morning following an illness of two years.
Mrs. Duke, the former Miss Josephine Wheeler, was born on September 13, 1861 in Cleburn County, Alabama, but had made her home in Polk County for the past 67 years. She had been a member of the Bethel Christian Church for 70 years.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. D. C. Sanders; two sons, S. W. Duke, and V. M. Duke, all of Cedartown and one brother E. M. Wheeler of El Campo, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the home. Dr. John McGinnis, pastor of First Baptist Church of Cedartown, will officiate. Interment will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery at Fullwood Springs with Lee Borders Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be: Ira Casey, Caney Archer, Harald Wyatt, L. H. Draughon, M. J. Florence, and E. P. Livingston.
