Marion Dean Easterwood
Marion Dean Easterwood, 77, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Mr. Easterwood was born April 7, 1930 in Cedartown, son of the late Joel Ellis and Berma Shaw Easterwood.
Mr. Easterwood served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and reading his Bible. Mr. Easterwood retired from Civil Service after 28 years serving as an electrician at Tyndall Air Force Base. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Fatima Oliveira Easterwood, Panama City; two sons, Carlos Joel Easterwood of Panama City and Michael Easterwood of Cedartown; two grandchildren both of Panama City and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are one brother, Emmanuel Easterwood; and three sisters, Mamie Fortune, Mary Jo Ealy and Joyce Haywood.
A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2007 in the chapel of Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Father Ben Klucinec officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2925 Hwy.77, Panama City, Fla., 32405, or the American Cancer Society, 2012 A. Lisenby Avenue, Panama City, Fla., 32405.
