Robert Ray Easterwood, 68, of 133 Black Smith Rd., Cedartown, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2002. He was born Jan. 6, 1934 in Cleburne County, Alabama, and was the pastor of Piney Woods Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Easterwood, and sister Aline Israel. Survivors include: wife, Betty Dean Haney Easterwood: mother, Annie Bell Diamond Easterwood; daughter; Robbie Deane Edwards; daughter-in-law Shirley Easterwood; sons, Johnny Steve Easterwood and Grady Franklin Easterwood; brothers, Rev. Gary Easterwood, Rev. Larry Easterwood and Ken Easterwood; sisters, Jean Howell, Mary Clark and Doris Packer; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. William Hinkle and Rev. James Wesley officiating. Interment followed in the Sanders Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scott Davis, Craig Easterwood, Charles Schell, Ricky Hawkins, Charlie Fagan, and Rick Duvall.
Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
