Mr. William Harold Ellis, age 72, of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 1997 at his residence. Mr. Ellis was born December 26, 1925 in Polk County, and was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Briscoe Ellis and Norris W. Ledbetter Ellis. Survivors include his wife, Christine W. Ellis, Cedartown; two daughters, Jan Taylor and Cindy Nale, both of Cedartown; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Graveside service for Mr. Ellis was held Wednesday, December 31, 1997 at 11 a.m. from Northview Cemetery with the Rev. John Hooper officiating. Interment followed in Northview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Buck Benton, Jim McCloud, Tim Myers, Darrin Nale, Alvin Crabb and Javan Thomas. Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown was in charge of the arrangements.
