Jerry Glenn Garrison
Mr. Jerry Glenn Garrison, age 71, of 960 Flint Hill Road, Aragon, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007.
He was born March 22, 1936 in Polk County, Ga., a son of the late James Ellis (J.E.) and Rosa Gribble Garrison. He was a retired foreman with Inland Paper with 37 years service and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring. He was preceded in death by his son, Gerry Ladell Garrison.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Burkhalter Garrison of Aragon; daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Steve Cauthen, of Cedartown; son, Terry E. Garrison of Bakersfield, Calif; sister, Vickie Bradshaw, of Cedartown; brother, Gary Garrison of Aragon; two grandchildren, Blake Cauthen of Cedartown and Leah Cauthen Mitchell, of Cave Spring and great-grandson, Landon Mitchell, of Cave Spring.
The funeral service will be on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at 2 pm from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Padgett and Mr. Jim Whitworth officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in Polk Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Monday evening at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence of his daughter, Kris Cauthen, 510 Valley Grove Road, Cedartown. Pallbearers; Jody Bradshaw, Jamie Bradshaw, Tracy Garrison, Chuck Garrison, Tommy Garrison and Jerry Parham. Honorary pallbearers; Mickey Adair, Rufus Barton and Raymond Williams.
The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring.
