Helen Ruth Gravett
Helen Ruth Gravett, 66, Dallas, Ga., died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008. She was born in Dallas, Ga. on May 26, 1942 and was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church in Aragon, Ga.
Her father, Oscar Ruff and brother, Calvin Ruff, preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Marvin Gravett of Dallas; mother, Myrtle Ruth Ruff of Dallas; sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Susan Crew of Dallas and Art and Tanya Crew of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Steve Hobbs of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Sarah Ruff of Hiram; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and other relatives.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 from Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Deems, Rev. Charles Sutton, Rev. Archie Streetman and Rev. Buddy Carter officiating.
Interment was in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas, Ga. Pallbearers included Billy Harrell, Romie Gravett, Jason Ruff, Chris Crew, Charles Holland and Grady Ruff.
Freddie Smith and Ernest Harrell were honorary pallbearers.
Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
