Mr. Hamrick

Mr. Hoke Brock Hamrick, 62, Cedartown, died Feb. 12, 2006. Mr. Hamrick was born Oct. 4, 1943 in Polk County, GA. He served as a Trooper with the Georgia State Patrol and retired in 1997 after 28 years of distinguished service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cedartown. He was also a member of the Georgia Peace Officers Association and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his father, Hoke S. Hamrick. Surviving are wife, Nancy Hamrick of Cedartown; mother, Mary Virginia Brock Ham-rick of Cedartown; daughter and son-in-law, Millie Hamrick Saponaro and Anthony Sapo-naro of Atlanta; son, Robert Brock Hamrick of Cedartown; sister and brother-in-law, Janie Hamrick Jacobs and Delton Jacobs of Columbia, MO; brother and sister-in-law, Gayle Brock Hamrick and Kathy Hamrick of Augusta; two nieces; two nephews. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006 in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Cedartown with Rev. Mark Huffine and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Inter-ment was held in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard served as pallbearers. The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
