Mrs. Edna "Ladell" Adrian Helton
Mrs. Edna "Ladell" Adrian Helton, affectionately referred to by her loved ones as "Mama Dell", age 67, of 4 Johns Drive NE, Rome, GA, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 19, 2007.

Mrs. Helton was born in Cherokee County, AL on March 4, 1940. Mrs. Helton loved the early mornings outside watching the "neighborhood come alive" as the sun rose and birds began to sing. She had many talents and passions such as gardening, sewing, and cooking. Mrs. Helton was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and also enjoyed traveling with her family. Mrs. Helton was the daughter of the late Joe and Edna Adrian and was also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Green, and a brother, John L. Adrian.

Mrs. Helton is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Jack Helton of Rome, to whom she was married on April 5, 1958. Mrs. Helton was a loving and devoted mother to four children, Yancy Helton, Aberdeen, NC; Sharon Helton Frailey, Alpharetta, GA; Tim Helton, Cleveland, TN; and Teresa Helton Sembrat, Woodstock, GA, all of whom will continue to celebrate her life through families of their own.

Mrs. Helton is survived by eight grandchildren, Eric Sembrat, Kristen Sembrat, Jackson Frailey, Tyler Frailey; Alixia Helton, Olivia Helton, Victoria Helton and Billy Helton; a sister, Nim Sandretto of Port Charlotte, FL; Sally Anderson of Leesburg, AL, whom Mrs. Helton thought of as a daughter and twenty-three nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the Family Room of Jennings Funeral Home, 1148 North Broad Street, followed by Memorial services at 8:00 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel with Rev. Steven Gibbs officiating.
