Guy R. Herring
Guy R. Herring, 73, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Cedartown, passed away on Sept 7, 2009, in Phoenix, Ariz. He was interred on Sept 12, 2009 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, Ariz. He was born Nov.19, 1935, in Rockmart. He retired as a banker in Rome. He married Leah Jarrett on Sept. 6, 1959, was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cedartown, and graduated from the University of Georgia.
He is survived by his wife Leah; son Alan (Jean); and two granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his son Greg.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in Cedartown. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Litchfield Park Library Association, 101 W. Wigwam Blvd., Litchfield Park, Ariz., 85340. (The Cedartown Standard - Sept. 24, 2009)
