Mr. Jarrell

Mr. Ollie Wesley Jarrell, 80, of Rome, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2007. He was born in Polk County on Jan. 19, 1927, the son of the late Jake Jarrell and Mary Elizabeth Strickland Jarrell. He was a retired automoblie mechanic.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Moon Jarrell; second wife Dorothy Thompson Jarrell; two sosns, Bobby Joe Jarrell and John Wayne Jarrell; one sister, Lois Earwood; two brothers, Eugene Jarrell and Talmadge Jarrell.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary Slovick of Jasper, Virginia Hernandez of Buchanan, Cathy Harvell of Cedartown and Peggy Wisehuff of Traveler's Rest, S.C.; six sons, William Moon of Blue Ridge, S.C., Eugene Jarrell of Ridgeland, S.C.; Doyle Jarrell of Rome, Edward Jarrell of Rome, James Jarrell of Cedartown and Kenneth Jarrell of Rome; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. from Hutcheson's memorial Chapel with Rev. R. B. Hulsey officiating. Music was provided by Martha Jarrell. Interment was at the Lime Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan was in charge of arrangements.
