Sara Gladys Lane
Mrs. Sara Gladys Lane, 85, 207 Lewis Lane, Rockmart, died Saturday, August 23, 2008.
She was born in Haralson County, Georgia on April 29, 1923, daughter of the late Jane Hutcheson Eaves and the late Bailey Eaves. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockmart.
Her husband, Mr. Henry Perk Lane on February 8, 1998, preceded Mrs. Lane in death.
Survivors included two daughters and sons-in-law; Mrs. Mary Jane Hardin Nelson and her husband Jim of Rockmart. Mrs. Sarah Diane Smith and her husband Henry Lee of Cartersville; a sister, Mrs. Norma Carroll of Buchanan; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. \The funeral service for Mrs. Lane was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, August 25 in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dave Hardin, Bill Hardin, Chuck Harris, Eric Doloch, Lee Smith and Marvin Winkles.
Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral service.
