Richard Alan Lawrence
Richard Alan Lawrence, 22, passed away March 15, 2007. He was a 2006 graduate of Pepperell High School. He participated each year in the Special Olympics winning ribbons in the wheel chair races.
Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his grandparents Rev. Jerry Trawick, Mike Lawrence and Joe Purdy.
Surviving are his mother Felicia and her husband Andy Carroll; father Ricky and his wife Anita Lawrence; brother Avery Lawrence; sisters, Carolyn and Jimmy Carman, Brittnay, Amber Hogue, Savannah and Daniel Allen, and a niece; grandparents Mallene Trawick, Evelyn Lawrence, Gerald and Linda Carroll and Hazel Purdy, great grandmother Pauline Runyon, a nephew and special friend. A number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lester Litesey Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ethan Trawick, David Adcock, Scott Atkins, Jordan Atkins, Greg Moore and Michael Dobbs. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Parent Leadership Coalition of Floyd County, a supporting network of children with special needs.
