Mrs. May

Mrs. Gladys Waddell May, 80, of 208 Hillside Dr., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 following an extended illness.

Mrs. May was born on Nov. 8, 2007 in Etowah County, Ala.

She was a member of Benedict Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. May had served the Cedartown and Northwest Georgia area as a certified Avon representative.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Waddell, Billy Gene Waddell and J. B. Waddell.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde May of Cedartown; her son, Charles May of Minneapolis; her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy May Smith and Bob Smith of Cedartown; her sister-in-law, Theo Waddell of Rome; one grandchild; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren. Several nephews and a number of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home's chapel with Rev. Mark Smith officiating.

Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers were Terry Weaver, Scott May, Cefard Wood, Stacy Brown, Duane Hindman and Greg May.
