Mrs. Susie Anna McBurnett
Mrs. Susie Anna Green McBurnett, 86, formerly of Clover Street, died Monday evening at an out of town health care center after an illness of several months.
Mrs. McBurnett was born on March 20, 1901, in Floyd County, the daughter of the late Henry Green and Sarah Tolbert Green. She was a lifelong resident of Floyd County, where she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred McBurnett in 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Annie Ruth Towe, Rome; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Flippin, Marietta, Mrs. Tootsie Wallace, Rome, and Mrs. Bertha Wilkerson, Columbus; three grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Towe officiating.
Interment will be at Sand Spring Cemetery in Texas Valley.
