Elsie Sanders McMillian
Elsie Sanders McMillian, age 84, of 856 Fairview Road, Rockmart, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 1993, at her residence.
Mrs. McMillian was born Oct, 31, 1908, in Haralson County. She was a retired Goodyear employee and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by : husband, James L. “Jim” McMillian; two sons, Hoyt and Labron R. McMillian; parents, J.R. “Bob” and Viola Rowell Sanders.
Surviving are: three sisters, Ora Sanders Givens of Rockmart, Era Sanders Garrison and Evelyn Sanders Heath, both of Buchanan; one great-niece.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Wheeler officiating.
Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were; Edward Rowell, A.P. Walton, Donald Wood, Eugene Sigers, Ernest LeGrande, and George Smith.
Members of the Fairview Baptist Church Ladies Adult Sunday School Class and Young at Heart served as honorary pallbearers.
